Rules to Remember for Sudoku
from: Lynn KenilworthA lot of schools prioritize in two subjects namely math and science. As the student goes to another grade, different skills are being taught and this isn't only about adding or subtracting.
This goes to topics like chemistry, calculus and geometry. Since the person needs to understand how this is done and not merely memorize what is in the books, one thing that must be practiced is logical reasoning.
This will help the student understand the problem and think objectively and make the right decision. Not everyone is academically proficient which is why sometimes, a different approach must be made. The person can try to teach a student not by using another textbook but by using a game.
One game that is gaining ground is Sudoku. The objective is to fill in the numbers 1 to 9 on a grid. This measures 9x9 with a 3x3 subgrid in between.
Some people think that putting in a certain number in a square is all it takes to learn Sudoku. Unfortunately, this requires a lot of skill in order to win the game.
The game works by making sure the numbers from 1-9 only appear once on each row. which should be done in the other 8 grids. Aside from making sure these should only appear once per row, the person also has to do the same for each subgrid.
This may take some time to get but those who can understand this game will be able to catch on quickly. The person can find this in the newspaper of certain publications.
Those who are just starting out will be able to learn this by playing this in the computer. The artificial intelligence in the program will tell the player if this is done correctly or not. There are many websites on the internet so the person should just type in Sudoku in one of the search engines and play these in a matter of seconds.
Some Sudoku programs can be downloaded in the computer for free. Others will charge a small fee of less than $20 and be given new games and scenarios after one has already excelled in a certain level.
People can also play this drawing the grids on a piece of paper. Those who don't want to throw this in the trash can use a whiteboard and marker so one can erase everything and start over.
Sudoku can be played in ten minutes to a few hours. Beginners who are stuck in a complex problem can rest for awhile to get a fresh perspective before getting in the game again.
Sudoku is one game that can be played anywhere and at any time. The person can practice this at home with some family members or in the company of friends then later on join some competitions to test one's skill against others to see who is the best.
Sudoku is all about logical reasoning. The person should double check the numbers before putting it down rather than being told by the computer to put this elsewhere.
Some teachers who have recommended this students have been thanked by parents who have seen an improvement in math and in other subjects because of the game. The person can check this out and see what it can do since this is a game not only for students but for people of all ages.
